✅ Step 1: Install & Open the App.
1️⃣ Go to Shopify Admin → Apps → Hoppy Free Shipping Bar and click on Create new shipping upsell.
2️⃣ Click Create New Shipping Upsell and choose a Workflow type:
Based on Free Shipping Goal – Choose a goal like Free Shipping, a Free Gift, or a Discount. Then, show your offers in multiple spots on your store all at once.
Based on Placement in Store – Pick one spot in your store to show your Free Shipping offer. You can also set a goal if you want.
Product Page🛍️ – Displays the free shipping message on product pages.
Top/Bottom Bar (no upsell)🔝🔽 – Adds a floating banner at the top or bottom of your store.
Cart Page/Cart Drawer🛒– Shows the free shipping message in the cart before checkout.
Custom Position – Show the free shipping bar at any custom placement of your choice.
✅ Step 2: Customize Your Free Shipping Message
3️⃣Go to the Goal tab in your Free Shipping Bar settings to set up Goals in the Shipping Bar:
Goal Type🥅- You can set goals for free shipping in two ways:
Cart Total Amount💵 - Based on how much customers spend.
➡ Example: “Free Shipping on orders over $50.”Product Quantity📦- Based on how many items are in the cart.
➡ Example: “Buy 3 items to get Free Shipping.”
Progress Calculations in Free Shipping Bar📊**(if cart total amount is selected as goal type)**
You can control how the bar calculates free shipping eligibility with these options:
1️⃣ After discount
Uses the final cart total after discounts are applied.
👉 Example: Cart = $120, Discount = $20 → Calculation = $100.2️⃣ Before discount
Uses the cart total before discounts.
👉 Example: Cart = $120, Discount = $20 → Calculation = $120.
Currency Label Type💸
Select the currency symbol or currency text.
Currency Symbol Position
Choose if the currency symbol should appear before the price or after the price.
Message💬
Default: Free shipping for orders over {order-value}
Use
{order-value}to automatically display the spending goal in your message.
Goal #1: Setup 🏆
Set Spending Goal(if cart total amount is selected as goal type) → e.g.,
50000/ Set Quantity Goal(if product quantiy is selected as goal type) → e.g.,5.Reward Type → Choose from:
No Discount🚫 – No extra reward shown.
Free Shipping🚚 – Shows free shipping once the goal is reached.
Fixed Amount – Enter a specific discount amount.
Percent📉– Apply a percentage discount (e.g., 10% off).
Free Gift🎁 – Select a product to offer as a gift when the goal is met.
Progress Message → e.g., You’re only {order-value-progress} away from free shipping!
Use
{order-value-progress}to show how much more customers need to spend.
Add More Goals➕
You can set Goal #2 (or more) with different spending targets and rewards by clicking Add New Goal.

✅ Step 3: Now move to the Upsell Tab
4️⃣ In this section, you can select how you want to show upsell products along with your shipping bar:
🚫 No Upsell – Do not display any upsell products.
🤝 Frequently Bought Together – Show Shopify’s recommended products that are commonly purchased with the selected item.
🛍️ Upsell Specific Products – Manually select products you want to upsell.
Upsell Specific Collections – Manually select the collection you want to upsell.
Upsell Same Product (As on the page) – Upsell the same product as displayed on the page.
✅ Step 4: Customize the Design of your Shipping Bar
5️⃣ Navigate to the Design tab and customize the looks, including size, color, border style, progress bar style, icon styling, animation, Typography, spacing, button, and alignment to match your store’s design.
✅ Step 5: Choose Placement & Display Settings
6️⃣ Navigate to the Placement tab and set Time on site targeting.
7️⃣ Select the pages where to show the bar; you can also choose a custom position to place the bar anywhere on the page.
8️⃣ Exclude Products: You can control which products the shipping bar applies to:
🙅 Don’t exclude any Product page – Shipping bar shows to all products by default.
🙅 Don’t exclude any Product pages in specific collections – Choose collections that should not display and apply the Shipping bar offers.
🔒 Don't show on Specific Product pages – Choose products that should not display and apply the Shipping bar offers.
9️⃣ Customer Targeting:
Display To: All customers, specific tags (e.g., VIP), or based on lifetime spent.
Hide From: No one, specific tags (e.g., Wholesale), or based on lifetime spent.
Conditions to Enable Bar ⚙️
Decide how many times the Free Shipping Bar should appear to a visitor:Always – Show the bar every time a visitor comes.
Minimum Number of Orders – Only show after a customer has placed a set number of orders.
Once per Email – Show only once for each email/customer.
✅ Step 6: Save & Publish
🔟 Click Save and Publish to make your Free Shipping Bar live on your store! 🎉
